Hello everyone!

I'd like to start a Queen bootleg collection, but know very little about it... As a start, I already have "Duck soup" and "Stunning, live in Tokyo", both on LP. How "common" are these? Are they among the most spreaded ones, or among the more rare items, or...?

I searched a bit on the net, and I find lots of bootleg lists, but I don't find which ones are the most common and which ones are much searched for...

Can someone tell me if the 2 that I have are a good starting point?

Thanks!

From what little I know, Duck Soup isnt that rare I dont think. As for what is rare some might say the South African gigs "might" be

There actually is many sites that detail Queen bootlegs. This is just one of them

In my opinion ANY bootleg is a good starting point. I started off getting the bootlegs from my favorite period (77-79)and kept going from there. Go for it and have fun exploring!!!

I recommend you to have one bootleg from each year...

For example (and based on my collection...)

1973 - Golders Green
1974 - Rainbow (both)
1975 - hammermith x-mas show
1976 - Tokio or Osaka... and Hyde Park
1977 - Houston and Earl´s Court
1978 - Paris
1979 - Hammersmith (kampuchea show)
1980 - Chicago or Milwaukee
1981 - Argentina - 2/28/81 (soundboard recording)
1982 - Vienna sounds good and something from Japan.
1984 - Milan or Birmingham
1985 - Osaka (superb sound)
1986 - Berlin, Vienna, Mannheim, Knebworth

And If you like the actual tour... that´s another story :P...

Bye happy x-mas!

The rarest ones are bootlegs from 1983. :D

First, try going to the correct forum (request or general discussion)

Second, try Sir GH's website at

http://qzboots.ultimatequeen.com

Good reviews to guide you. Something I did a few years ago when I wanted to add on a few shows from each tour.

(Congrats, sir, on earning the WWRY gig)
