VOTE FOR QUEEN IN RADIO 2 "BEST BRITISH BANDS"

Why, aren't they good enough to win in a democratic vote amongst the general populace?

I voted Queen, but the Stones deserve this title more I guess...

because everyone knows that these "ballots" are now won by whichever band has the largest number of organised undemocratic stepfords
if it were just down to honest national opinion the result would go something like this:-

1. beatles
2. the who
3. led zeppelin
4. queen
5. the rolling stones
6. the clash
7. oasis

why can't queen fans be genuine enough to accept that democracy (not George W Bushesque ballot rigging) will always dictate that our favourite band is the nation's fourth best?

Maybe we should vote for

"Queen to make more music that goes higher than 31 in the chart thus making them more likely to win a proper democratic vote by actually being popular"
