It's no wonder an average rock/pop listener loves this album. It has good pop tunes (One Vision, AKOM, FWBF), lovely ballads (OYOL, WWTLF) and great guitar tracks (POTU, GTP). And if you love the album, you gotta love the music. It's perfect for the atmosphere in the movie.

On the other hand, when a hardcore Queen fan listenes to this album, he/she compares it to the old Queen albums like ANATO or ADATR. Though AKOM is quite good album in its own, there's no way it could beat those 70's masterpieces.
[/QUOTE] that's what i'm getting at. I know that's what fans do with any band, but it just seems that this album has lots of strong songs. of course it's all matter of opinion, if a fan wants 16 Queen2 albums your not gonna like AKOM. The only song I don't like is "don't lose your head" with "pain and pleasure" being average. One vision, a kind of magic, one year of love, who wants to live forever, gimme the prize, and princess are all pretty solid. In my opinion, It's better than the works.
I didn't know there was a song called "Princess."
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
