Does anyone know which of the two nights at Rio this was taken from? Furthermore, can anyone tell why they chose to dig-out, master and release exactly this one obscure live-track back in the 90s. Where did it come from? I mean, did they have a live-album prepared or something?
It was taken for the second Rock in Rio concert (19/1/85 I guess). Check out in www.queenconcerts.com
A man who learnt how to teach, but forgot how to learn. A la grande le puse cuca!!
Good point Gerbert - why did this out from the vaults ahead of anything else unless it was being worked on for another project?

Interesting question. I like this "impromptu" thing.

But I have no clue about the circumstances of this release. Maybe some of the "experts" know more.

It is all about marketing an unreleased track to cash in and make you buy the single! Ask Brian!
In 1997, Queen Live In Rio was re-released on VHS and Laser Disc. Thus, in December '95, work on this was already taking place, and thus the master audio was available. It was only a small step to release one audio track on a single as a teaser for the video as well as an extra value for the single.
