Any opinions of Brian May's "Furia" soundtrack?

i love this original soundtrack. i love the tango "cuesta abajo" , the reggae, the main theme, the intro is fantastic, with orchestra and powerful red special, Dream of thee is a MASTERPIECE..i still remeber the period whe nit was released there wasn't much coming out from Brian Roger and Queen in general...it was shading some light on Queen! Dream of thee reminds me a bit of White Queen.
And there's Emily May singing!
I have never seen the movie. Yet i can sleep at nights.

I was actually being serious. When I first listened to 'Furia', I felt I'd heard the theme before. Before it finished, I knew what it was from. Pulled out the movie, went to certain spots, and shore 'nuff, I was right.

goodco, there are very few similarities between these two themes, maybe except first few notes and violin. :)

You should buy it! I love it....

Just seen your reply Richy. Sorry I have no idea about whether there is subtitles or not as I havent seen it either.

I would recommend it.If you could ignore the French being spoken throughout and the crap reggae song then in my mind it's a lot better than Flash.Dream of Thee is a great song.Probably not good enough to have been released as a single but the album as a whole is great.Should be able to buy it at mid-price.

"Dream of Thee" is beautiful. I just wish Brian had done a better job singing it...

I think 'Dream of Thee' is beautiful. I love that little melody at the beginning. And Brian's voice suits it perfectly. It's so delicate.

I rented it from Netflix a few weeks ago. It's kind of good. There's a lot of symbolism that doesn't really go anywhere though, and I was just left scratching my head.

If your kids like violence and nudity, they'll love Furia!

The first time I heard it I thought it was "Track 13" Part Two. Yawn.

Think of it as Brian May kidnapped by Yanni and tortured by John Tesh. Then Kitaro comes and saves him.

I think it is beautiful and haunting and like it very much, as does my husband. I'm glad I got when I did as it is getting to be rather pricy to acquire by now.

i agree 'furia' to be a little bit boring. it's too repetitive imho.
but it has it's moments.
'dream of thee' is a fascinating song, though. well done!
didn't watch the movie, so i cannot tell if it fits into the moving pictures.

Well worth getting, though you'll probably skip through most of the more abstract tracks on your second or third listen. I wish Brian did more interesting stuff like this. But he knows he cant make money out of anything other than repackaging Queen songs.
