What an amazing man. It's very tragic that there were (and still are) predjudice peaople out there. If you'd like to take some time to remember why today is a holiday, spend it here. Thanks, Martin! Your legacy lives!

The man with whom peaceful resistance died. A sad loss it was, of the greatest man in the Civil Rights movement.

I was always fascinated by the life, the legacy, the courage, and determination of Dr. King.

After reading books and watching documentaries about MLK it seems like during his final days we was deeply saddned when he questioned himself if his movement was actually working. During a march in Memphis black men were paid to destroy and vandalize local stores just to taint the image of MLK and his movement. Dr. King was often seen suffering from fatigue and constant sickness from putting too much effort into organizing marches and protests.

After his assassination, the autopsy revealed that Dr.King had the body of a 60 year old, and for a man who was 39 that wasn't a good sign. Makes me wonder how long would MLK have lived if he was never shot.
