Question about FLAC levels

Hi everybody:

I was wondering if i have a CD, pass it to Wav, and then to Flac... I always encode Flac's at Level 8, but what if I encode Flac at Level 1?, Does it lose quality?... I know if i encode at Level 1 it loses mb, but what about quality?

The levels in flac are only in regards to how much time it takes to encode basically and file size and don't affect quality. Other numbers might encode quicker but with bigger files as the result.
