I'm sure this has been discussed to death earlier, but the search engine doesn't work for me (and hasn't done so for quite a long time actually).

Anyway, ever since I first heard 'News Of The World' and the song 'All Dead, All Dead' when I was but a wee toddler (er... alright, I was about 14 or so) I noticed that the last part of the song was sped up (@ 2:37 - beginning with the lyrics "In time it comes to everyone"). Is this because the last part was an edit piece or did the master tape go all wonky during mastering or what?
You guys who notice this stuff amaze me :)

I listened and thought "well the song changes like this 3 times anyway (:51, 1:30 and 2:39) so I assume that's how it's supposed to be". But you're right, this third time it is slightly faster. I never would have noticed had I not compared the 3rd one to the first. The drum/piano/bass thing runs faster there indeed.

I have no answer for you though :-P
