So I decided to check out your Myspace page and listened to the songs you have up.
Not horrible. Not what I'd call groundbreaking. Somewhat derivative. Sounded like 80s pop/rock. This singer sounds more like Lou Reed meets Morrisey trying to sound like Freddie.(BTW I respect Lou Reed, Morrisey and Freddie) The songs aren't complex but complex is not synonymous with good. Sometimes simplicity can take music to a whole other level.
The biggest problem I have is that you don't really have anything to do with Queen but promote your band on a Queen discussion board insulting other musicians. Take your deluded arrogance to a more appropriate forum.
You might actually achieve a level of competence and achieve greatness but you're a long way from it.
If you want complexity try 'On Green Dolphin Street' or 'Giant Steps'. Try Stravinsky.

You name the two jazz-tunes that are LEAST complex in the Davis/Coltrane oevre. Quite a feat!
You want complex music that sounds superb? Try ANYTHING from Charles Mingus' 1964 tour with Eric Dolphy.

I wish our chums in Treasure Moment would acknowledge the invaluable influence that earlier bands have on the music of today.

The Floyd would *probably* have existed without The Beatles too. They were inspired by the first wave of American psychedelica, as well as the pre-war blues (in fact, the name comes from Pink Anderson and Floyd Council of Dr. Kerr and Blind Boy Fuller fame respectively). Thus, being so thoroughly un-British in their inspiration, they would most likely have come to be anyway. Not necessarily in the exact same musical form, though.
