I agree! I think it should daylight savings time all year round. I don't see any point in changing the clocks in the fall. Just let us keep the daylight for the daytime!

Screw standard time!!!
Zeb is right though.

It's a case of keeping trying until the result the Government wants sticks.

Honestly I've not noticed that much difference. Yes, I walk home from work because it's light but I'd do that regardless of it was 1000 degrees/snowing leopards/Z-Day. I'm not wasting some amount of petrol to travel 700 metres. Fuck that shit.

Put it this way Z - we've only got 2 more years of it. I think we should have it in winter. I'd like that. I feel for the farmers up north where they're out in billion degree temperatures at 10:00. Plenty of bricklayers I know hate the idea. Mind you they've remedied that by getting up at 4 so they still work the same amount of hours dawn/daylight. Horrible job that. All of 'em are Poms down this way.

I will get up at 7:00 o'clock whatever the light outside dictates.
...this kettle is boiling over... ...one dump...one turd...two tits...John Deacon... ...one prawn...one shrimp...one clam...one chicken!
Also Sasha - you might want to get more exciting friends.

Why? That's what I have you for. You just got a car and your dumbass is still walking to work in the dark. It doesn't get much better than that.

Plus, you make up words that don't exist and like to add lots of 'vs to things.

P.S. You might want to get a date.

P.S.S. You might also want to do something about that broke ass display pic and the caption:

"James, Thomas, Tom, Robert and me (kneeling)"

& you have a little something on your chin there dear. :*
Meh.... it's the principle of the thing, you know!!?
It shows what kind of government we're gradually cultivating over here. It doesn't matter if we're talking about conscription or the colour of door fittings in public toilets. They *ignored* 3 very decisive votes against Daylight Savings and stuck us with a 3 year trial; hoping we'd get numbed into dull, conformist submission.

Read it again. Our elected representatives deliberately ignored us. Am I the only one that gets annoyed with such temerity?

Again, the clock changing an hour is a small thing, but I take the issue as a pretty telling reminder of the kind of people politicians are. We ought to pay them as much as we pay train drivers ; none of this 'golden handshake' crap when they retire.
To be completely honest, having my sleep schedule dictated to me by some arbitrary concept ranks a thousand times higher than a war whose results will never effect me.

Oh, and go capitalism.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
I just want it to stay light until 9:00 p.m.

I never realized an hour a year was so controversial.

I can see how it'd be odd for ONE CITY to NOT HAVE IT, and people having to CONTINUALLY READJUST their watches driving in and out.
They could all move to Arizona, but then you lose the Martin Luther King holiday.

For christ's sakes, people! It's a fucking symbolic gesture. Go protest against something that's actually worth it. In case you hadn't noticed, there's a war going on that's nearly as bloody as Vietnam!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not THAT bloody. Sand soaks up blood anyway.
funny story:

grand cayman had a choice whether they should have daylight savings or not....

they voted no because they were afraid of losing an hour of their life.

true fact.

i hate daylight savings because it throws everything off, and people unessesarily late or early to work or school because they forgot to change their clock. and if you look outside, changing the clock doesnt do much. turns out half the time its not a few weeks untill the sun 'properly matches the clock'. yes the light during the day changes year around, but an hour just doesnt match half the time....
i dont think im making sense.
why pay the visit when the visit is free? "this shitty guitar wont play what i want! it only knows three chords!"
Is it any different in the city? I know down this-a way it's...new to see the Sun up casting a doubtful, cancer causing eye over the sea.

You're dead right though. I don't like it. I will vote against it just like I'd've voted against the Republic question were I old enough. Fuckin' John D'Orazio. Daylight Savings will go. It will vanish and shrink. I don't know what will go first, rock 'n' roll or Day Light Savings.

I also like the colour of the door fittings to be mustard. Kind of a reminder why I'm going there.

Honest though - worst idea...ever?

*waves a little capitalism flag*

*BEATS iGSM INTO DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME SUBMISSION*

Now you love it...do you really want it to be dark at 7:00 p.m. in the summer?
