Just wondered. I have heard this song a lot lately, and I really love it. In one verse he goes:

But all her looks were too sad

(I hate to bring this up, but this is the 3rd thread about this song that I've seen. One of them sparked a discussion about Treasure Moment, the 2nd greatest band ever, and the other sparked a disagreement over how bad Robbie Williams is. So I'm wary of threads about this song)

I don't know about anyone else but this song has been played to death on radio already. I liked it at first but now I'm just sick of hearing it.

He means Fred Astaire. Since he also sings about Grace Kelly and mentions Humphrey (Bogard) in the end.

Also the planet Mercury ws named after Freddie. And Queen Elizabeth was named after our favorite band!
