I posted something like this a few years ago but I never really got a concrete answer. Some people say its around 120,000 others 150,000 and others 200,000 and +. Hyde Park was 150,00 and it is said that Knebworth was Queen's biggest UK concert so that would mean there were 150,000+ people there. I know there are people here who attended the concert. Do any of you know the actual number?
Darling, Im not going to be a rockstar, Im going to be a LEGEND!!
I was always led to believe it was 120,000 - at least that's the number listed in the "A Magic Tour" book.

According to few sources 140 000... + 1 and then -1, so 140 000 anyway
Re Hyde Park 76 - it is always quoted that 150,000 attended this gig, but as we all know the concert was free admission so you could put any number for this and no-one could prove you wrong. Shortly after the gig I spoke to someone who attended and they put it at 40,000-60,000. Guess we will never know!

Heh, I didn't mean that adding and subtracting one from 140.000 is particularly clever, but I do wonder how many people will actually know what you mean by that :)

Ouch... Then we have to explain them! Child was born during the show, man was killed during the show...
The crowd was added later, digitally.
I was there, so at least 1
Well if looking the photos from the Hyde Park -76 and Knebworth -86 it's clear that Knebworth was clearly a bigger concert. So in knebworth there was definetly some +200.000 people.

OK, the most silly thing i´ve read about Knebwoth is that it could be around 300.000 people. According to some papers many people who showed up without tickets simply went in, because there was no control.

In the Zeppelin concert in 1979(?) they looked at NASA pictures from the space and calculated an estimated 210.000 people. I think we can look at both gigs and do the maths ourselves.

On the other hand, in the Robbie Williams concerts you can say it was smaller in capacity (although it was the same venue)- at least that´s what it looks like to me. So if Robbie had 120.000 a night, Queen i´d say abot 150.000 or more, but i don´t think it was 300.000. But i´m talking from memory here!

Take care
