All I'm going to say is that it's pretty silly to change your favourite band because of "the rotten fans".
Every band has a variety of fans. Some people are generally unfriendly, regardless of what band they like.
I mean, I can certainly see changing favourites as your tastes change - but you're lowing your opinion of Queen's music because of some people who don't know the band and are certainly not representative of ALL Queen fans ?
You're doing a disservice to the band by allowing people who are not them, and having nothing to do with their music change your opinion of Queen's work.

Incidentally, I used to be a Boston fan, but I couldn't understand their fans. It's that accent - "park the car WHERE?!??". So, I switched over to Queen. I find anyone with a British accent automatically charming.
Don't change your favorite band! Even if they are Kansas or Boston! You're part of the QZ community and Queen is the greatest band in the world! And anyway, not all of us are this mean.
