Pop Festivals require you to mime usually... all bands. Slade did a ton of these type of things, and did it as well.
While it does suck that Queen had to mime both appearances - they at least let Freddie do a DAY-OH in the 1986 one.

I know they had to mime here so it loses something of course but at least he wasn't even *trying* to look like he was singing for real. Half the time the mic is miles away! Still, I envy the audience so close up, especially the girl whose hand he grabbed-I wouldn't have let go!

if you watch it carefully, freddie wanted people to realize that he was doing lip sync
(on parts of a song, he stoped singing when he had to sing, so, the freddie of the song was singing, but the real freddie on stage was silent)
