Maybe he considered the audience to be like monkeys in a cage. Or perhaps it was the drugs.

Also, if you look really closely to the Live Killers album front cover (which was from the Jazz tour), you could see that Freddie's wearing the glitter leotard.

[/QUOTE]Indeed, in the budokan video he wears a red glitter suit and that was in 1979. I remember a discussion on Queenzone(I'm not sure) where somebody said that they probably filmed more than 1 show in Japan in 1979 so maybe that is where the bananas come from.
