We will rock you drive u ga ga?

When Queen played radio ga ga live, the fans always did the hands clap thing thats in the video right? This sounds so daft but it annoys me when people do it to we will rock you, surely its just a straight forward clap along 2 the beat or did I miss a meeting????

i think you should relax about that :) people simply express their joy and excitement this way i think..anyway it's always a nice sight for me.

Yes that really just pisses me off. How dare they clap.

Im not saying they shoudnt clap what im saying is it annoys me when people do the radio ga ga clap to we will rock you. Grrrrrr

Yeah, We Will Rock You is meant to go stomp-stomp-clap but the crowd always does it as clap-clap-pause. I was going stomp-stomp-clap at Cardiff in 2005, but only cause I didn't notice everyone else was doing something different! The clap-clap-pause is actually more fun I think cos it gets your hands up in the air and there's more of a feeling of interacting with the band and the rest of the crowd.

Anyway Radio GaGa is different again, that's more like pause-doubleclap-pause-doubleclap-pause-doubleclap

You know how I got into Queen? This actually is a true story:

Once back in 1977 we had a school party (7th grade, I think), and as usual we played some rock or disco music. But all of a sudden my class mates started to kneel down on the floor and clapped their hands 2 times on the floor and then in the air, shaking their (mostly long) hair. That looked really strange – and somehow cool. But when I heard the music I understood very well. It just fit and everybody, really everybody got excited. It was WWRY of course, and that song, along with WATC and SHA, was the absolute party hit for months.

I however can say that there were atleast 4 of us doing it at the BUFFALO show, hehe it was me and 3 of my friends...
So you can say 4 people did anyway :-P

I seem to recall there were a lot of people clapping along to that at the Detroit show! But Brian did say something along the lines of Detroit always being sort of a "Queen territory"......heh........

Definitely no lack of enthusiasm from the fans at that show, I would say!

AMEN! The Detroit crowd was AWESOME!! :-) I'm glad it was the last show of mine and Pieter's little QPR tour. Talk about ending on a high note!
