Eeeeer you lot.......

There used to be a thing called (something like) QUEENSWAP or Queen Swap Office - back about 5-6 years ago I think. It was a site run by a thoroughly nice chap from Holland. It was a great concept whereby Queen fans offered up items of memorabilia for swap, NOT sale, but it disappeared. Lack of interest. BIG shame I reckon.

Anyway... can't one of you internet/web site wiz-kid types set something up whereby ANYTHING can be swapped?? That would be mega interesting and actually useful to many of us. USEFUL is good.

I'm a bit of a hi-fi fan myself, and have, for example, some rather nice Mission 800 speakers (with spikes, he said, sounding like he knows something about this stuff) which I would swap for...

1. A pair of KEF Q6c speakers.

2. An evening with Nigella Lawson

3. A fraction of an evening with Nigella Lawson

4. Any NAD amplifier

5. A chocolate brown labrador puppy

6. 28 meters of QEF 900 speaker cable and as little as 5 minutes of an evening with Nigella Lawson, but no less.

7. The Police mini CD albums as just issued in Japan.

8. Tickets to see The Police

9. Any combination of 2 or 3 of the above.

10. A new Audi A6, or an old yellow Jensen Interceptor, circa 1976

WHAT SAY YOU LOT?

Can someone set up a SERIOUS swap service on here - or as a sub section of QZ? Could be Queen stuff, obviously, but could be everything/anything else too.... especially hi-fi and Nigella related.

Nice topic!

I think a swap section on this forum has potential!
Well...tickets for the Police have not yet gone on sale for the Louisville venue (which is close as they are coming to me) are not on sale yet. But when they do go on sale..I'll be getting some. You wanna come with?

Will you be filming again?
I'm going to see them on their second Amsterdam date. Looking forward to see the police!

@ Greg: tickets for the second Amsterdam show are still available via: http://www.ticketmaster.nl/html/evinfo.htmI?CNTX=251982&C=&l=EN
Great topic, I can give you some valuable P&N Memoribillia for those speakers!
"On the first day Pim & Niek created a heavenly occupation. Pim & Niek blessed it and named it 'Loosch'." (Genesis 1:1)
the OIQSO site is still there. It went quite well for a while, but since everything was based on market value anyway, it really was nothing more than a specialised ebay without the potential bargains.

I've got some spare CDs - early 90's rock singles in the main. Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, that sort of thing.

Anyone who'd like to ship a Mustang over is welcome to them.
Oh, the wit, the humour, the imagination, the originality, the....word at the end that doesn't actually fit into the sentence.

Again? ;) If I can get tickets...I'm honestly not sure if they will sell out in Louisville or not since in my part of the country we are notorious for not being able to recognize good music..but anyway.....I feel like I have a good chance at getting good seats. So if I'm too close then I won't be able to film. In NJ, I was about nine rows back, safe distance, risky but I was mostly safe. In Jacksonville, Erin, Pieter, and I were smack dab front and center at the end of the catwalk. If I would have even tried to film from there, Brian could have grabbed my camera himself...LOL!

But back to your question...I'm not sure if I will film or not. It depends on a few things. If I do I'll be sure to be in touch with you.

Of course, that would have been a great story to tell had he grabbed it. ;-)

Not to mention that great soapbox entry that would have followed.
