Did Freddie ever get arrested for illegal possession of controlled substanc

well in the mercury and me book, it said freddie kept his cocaine in a little japanese box or something. one time when a stranger broke into his house and tried on his clothes, he had the police come and search the house. when they were about to leave, he said, "hey, while you're here, you could check that little box over there. i keep my drugs in it," and they all laughed about it. i found this funny.

If memory serves...I read in Laura Jackson's Queen biography; that in the early days, they were throwing a party in the flat that the four of them lived in together. The cops came to crash it...and Freddie welcomed them in and served them tea and cakes that were laced with weed. I thought that was pretty funny.
