Hi there, friends!

I just wanted to double check this but the new DVD/CD planned for release by Queen Productions, the 'Queen Live In Montreal 1981', please tell me it is not the same as this :-

I mean, it is a great concert but if this is going to be the exact same concert, then what a disappointment yet again by Queen Productions.

Any information on this will be very much appreciated, guys! :-)

I say HURRAH! I thought I'd heard something about that one. Nice to know I wasn't dreaming. It has always been my opinion that while everything looks and sounds good, it was missing an audio remix. Thankfully it will be done right on the audio side. The picture, I'm sure, won't be touched.

Adam.
This is actually an imported DVD that was released in 2002.
Death to Rapidshare. Long Live BitTorrent!!
They do have Live In Rio as being released next week.

And there is Live in Japan 85 as well.

These aren't 'official' DVD's even though they are available on the HMV website. An easy way to tell is by looking at the label. An offical one would be EMI or PARLOPHONE but these DVD's aren't.

Hmmm, Magnum and Quantum Leap.

I was thinking of getting the Japan 85 one, has anyone bought it? Is it as good as the Final Live release in Japan?
"Freddie would have loved it" - Brian May
Looks good, sounds shit (I always say it sounds like it was mixed by Spike Edney's mum, as it's quite keyboard-y)
Umm, wait a minute - what about the Champions Of The World documentary on DVD??? And what about Greatest Video Hits III on DVD???
And next year? Rio '84

And the year after? Budapest '86

And when hell freezes over? Something from the 70's. I mean, how hard is it really for them to serve up Earl's Court, one of the Hammersmiths, or the Rainbow '74 show, or maybe even the Houston '77 show? Wow, soon i'll get to buy Montreal '81 again. How neat. I already have two copies of it, now I can get a 3rd copy. I'm so totally fulfilled.

In all fairness, while they may be screwing us over with the delays on the stuff we want, but it was just 1 year and 2 days ago that I saw QPR in San Diego, so I'll just focus on the positive side. At least I can get a cd version for my car this time. And also, at least they are still dedicated to giving us something, even if it is crumbs.

Now for that I would give a lot of money! Seeing how the two concerts Queen gave in Rio were in January of 1985, that is.

That or a deeply perverted Spike Edney fan.

Just a thought:
this concert is not really one of the best - even freddie seems frustrated at times. We have a concert of this for queen standards unsuccessful area (live on fire) released already. Die hard fans own the "we will rock you" DVDs. Why should it be a success?

Now comes my point: it was filmed for IMAX theatres only . Can it be that we will see the first HD presentation (in HD DVD or Blu ray format)?
Almost certainly yes, but is that a good enough reason?
i want to add that they in 2009
release wembley stadium 12-07-1986.
yeah that’s what we are waiting for!
not me.
it’s what i think queen productions will do.
only put rereleases in our stumichs.
surely not any worthy products we want
and what they’ve got in their vaults.
they should work their ass off and search
for something special what’s never went
on the market and release it.
then they should sold more queen.
everyone knows and saw and own thw well
known wembley stadium 1986.
i should add i own these wembley products...
