I've been going through alot of my Queen albums lately and figured I would listen to only the songs that only certain band members wrote. Well I turned my attention towards the songs that John Deacon wrote. I choose him first because he was the most quiet of all the Queen members and contributed less songs than the others did. I find myself really liking the songs that he wrote and I was wondering what everybody's favorite song that John wrote is. Obviously his 2 best known ones were "Another One Bites The Dust" and "I Want To Break Free" but me myself I feel my 2 favorite are "If you Can't Beat Them Join Them" and "Need Your Loving Tonight"......These 2 songs could have very easily been top selling and successful singles in there own right......So those 2 are mine what are your's????
Dislocate your spine if you don't sign.....He say's I'll have you seeing double
Spread your Wings, best Deacon song definetly.
^ Yep. Spread Your Wings...Misfire and In Only Seven Days.
Don't forget 'You're My Best Friend' - that's always one song that I almost forget about, then whenever I hear it I remember how good it is.

Having said that, my fave JD song is Spread Your Wings, followed by Need Your Loving Tonight.

I also really like You and I

Need Your Loving Tonight was written by Freddie not John but I like Spread Your Wings and You And I as my John songs I like best.
Your My Best Friend and If You Can't Beat Them.
"If there's a God or any kind of justice under the sky If there's a point, if there's a reason to live or die".
I'd say Spread your wings or One year of love (I can't help but love this one)
Little Delilah
Oh yeah Your'e My Best Friend too. how can I forget that one. especially as now I have met a girl where that song relates to her in my life.
you´re my best friend
She was my lover It was a shame that she died But the constitution´s right on my side Cos I cought my lover in my neighbours bed I got retribution, filled´em full of lead
They're all amazing, but I'd say Another One Bites the Dust is one of the best.

The riff is perfect, simply yet effective.

'Need Your Loving Tonight' (which is indeed John's, not Freddie's) is probably my big favourite of his. A close second would be 'My Life Has Been Saved'.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

No, just no.

And on topic I'd say "You and I" or "Misfire."
