I have read that Jeff Scott Soto of Jorney has announced they have been talking about some possible dates linking Q+PR and Journey together. I think this would be the Ultimate tour as these are my two favourite bands. The links are quite good too - Brian and Jeff are Quite good friends, Paul Rodgers and Neal Schon have toured togethre and recorded together a lot in the past (and both of them have new lead singers. Lol.). I saw Journey on their recent European tour and they were amazing, the best band to tour with Queen I think. What do you think?

John finally gets his solo hit and overshadows everything he ever did with Queen. He gets top bill but refuses to play with Brian, Larry, Steve, and Bob the current members of Queen.

i saw Journey here in the states last year and they rely heavily on tricks.Brian was very kind about JSS,but i thought he ducked more notes then even PR.Journey really tricks the casual fan by not even making it know that steve perry is not going to be there.and for whats its worth steve perry stopped hitting steve perry notes after 1983 live.Bad mix and i hope it doesnt happen.Journey should be grouped with the Cars and Blondie at this stage.
Journey without Steve Perry is horrible...I have a friend who saw them recently around the same time as Brian and he didn't enjoy the gig too much. I suppose you could say Q+PR is pointless but it's all up to you. I think Q+PR is good but the current Journey is NOT. Journey is practically over since Steve Perry can't sing anymore either way...
and maybeeeeeee, if paul doesn't feel so good jeff could doo some songs with queen and they could finally perform innuendo :D

Yes, and Brian turned up a couple of times, as did Steve Lukather.

Queen joining the ranks of other classic rock bands having to do a joint tour to fill seats would be an all-time low point image-wise, even worse than American Idol. Queen has a mystique and legendary status...they can't maintain something like that by touring with a band so far beneath them like Journey (though I do really like Journey). Queen changed the course of music history and has a British sophistication; Journey is a really, really good rock band, but unfortunately has more of a blue-collar image like Bon Jovi.
Maybe if Queen toured with Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, The Who or someone else truly legendary it would be a great ticket, but there just aren't many bands up to Queen's status IMHO.
