They're done in Japan, in limited quantity... so they're inherently hard to find.

Here in Canada, they occasionally are found at record conventions. Your best bet is to wait for a CDR copy... and they usually come, with a bit of patience. All it takes is for one person to buy it and leak it.

Back to the Knebworth show... can anyone tell me what Freddie says before CLTCL? I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Their widely available at certain webshops that sells them. Its no problem getting the silvers as long as you can pay for them...their expensive.
You can google it, and you will find more links.

Anybody??

I've finished listening to the recording... absolutely incredible stuff. This is one of the greatest Queen bootleg finds ever, right up there with things like Liverpool 73 and Houston 77.

He says "Okay this, this only means one thing"

Im guessing that hes just put the guitar around his neck, which means only one thing. CLTCL is next.
Arse.

Yes, its a low gen tape with two audio tracks.
*Original sound
*Perfectly synched audio from the mastertape.

The guitar solo is really outstanding. Brian is really inspired, and it was the first time (and last with Queen) that Brian used the pedal (i don´t know it´s name) with wich he played "Chinese Torture".

So, in this concert you have the birth of "Chinese Torture". Too bad the tour wasn´t extended because i see Brian getting better at his solo.

I also noticed that he didn´t ends the solo like he normally does; hitting two chords. Instead he goes right to "Now i´m Here". Maybe he was having problems with his tuning but the final result is interesting.

And finally, i think that with this Bootleg we finally "see" why Queen said they have the best people working for them. We are listen to what the crowd really listened that day and it´s really incredible how great the sound was in the audience. The balance and the power is really outstanding for 21 years ago in an open air concert like this.

Take care

By the way... I'm still very convinced that this recording, good as it sounds on the master copy, was done from very far away. Listen to the audience reaction on Live Magic (or even the bootleg DVD) from when the band walk on stage. On this recording, the fans react when they hear Brian... assumingly because they're so far away that they can barely see the band! With that in mind, it's amazing that this recording sounds so good. In '86, they surely didn't have speakers a few hundred feet from the stage to accommodate those who were further away, did they?
