It was just the second show of the tour. Maybe after a few shows, Mott asked them to shorten their set. The previous string of shows was a headlining UK tour... but we don't actually know the standard setlist from that tour. There is still much to be learned about early '74.
This is very interesting stuff... but it will be all the more interesting when the recording is shared. Until then it's just words. Let's wait and see.

the transfer is not coming on at all. after i played the tape, it was so brittle that it just sorta cracked, and i dont know how to fix it..
