There are about 16, each separately listed (which is why I didn't link them.) About $25USD each, for sale from the U.K. They all have an ebay copyright logo across them. Mostly they are of Freddie and the gang (Mary, Freestone, Straker, Jim, Valentine) all in dress-up clothes gathered around a very large dining room table. There are a number of people I don't recognize. The one I like the most is #209 because of the painting on the left side of the back wall which looks like Freddie and one of his cats. There are about six days left to bid which means there are about six days left to view them. On ebay type in Queen Freddie Mercury <search>.

Wow, interesting find carboengine, thanks for posting. Where do these things come from I wonder? After all these years new pics still surface. I'm guessing whoever sold them used to be an employee or very close friend...however it appears that they need to make some extra cash now...Although it's nice to see 'new' shots they were pretty private and also quite sad considering what stage they were taken at :(
This pic of Barbara is hilarious though

she was certainly 'voluptuous' wasn't she?! LOL
Also, is she featured on all these pics too?

This link is the same pictures, but it might be easier to get at as it is ebay's 'see all of seller's items.' I was amazed to see Mary Austin smiling so much and looking happy. Other images I have seen of her have been glum and serious. Maybe because Freddie has been dead for 15 years now, these private photos have been surfacing. Didn't he say, "When I'm dead, who cares." In some of the commentaries on dvds, and I have read in some books, that Freddie was (to paraphrase from directors) "one of the funniest men I have ever met." That their stomachs used to ache from laughing so much by the time they finished a video shoot. I wish a little of that kind of thing was on a dvd. Do you know that old saying, "Behind every good man is a good woman." Perhaps these sellers want to share the enjoyable times they had with Freddie and because of that perhaps they think in a small way they contributed to his success.

Yes, good point-the pictures may be personal but at least they show people having fun and making the most of the time he had left. I agree, it was nice to see Mary looking happy too, the photos and interviews available tend to show a rather serious person.I'm probably being an amateur sleuth here but I thought it interesting that at that big dinner table Freddie had Barbara on one side and Mary on the other and Jim was way over on the other side..wonder if there was any fighting over who sat where?!
The dinner party is Freddie's birthday 9-5-90 and I noticed a shot of Freddie, Mary and Graham Hamilton his driver in there too. That was taken at Hamilton's house on New Years Eve. Not sure of the date. Some of the attire matches that seen in Jim Hutton's book.
I think the dinner party was 9/5/89, Freddie doesn' look 'ill enough' methinks.
how sick do you want him to be!?
:-)
no, just have a look at the other '90 pictures, Freddie looks much more ill on those.

Well, what gave it away for me at least is that in Hutton's book there is a photo of Freddie and and Barbara Valentin with the same evening attire as the ones in the ebay auction. And I must add... Did that woman have a set of ta ta's or what???

To quote the credits on the 'Mr Bad Guy' album
"Special thanks to Mary Austin, Barbara Valentin for big tits and misconduct."
I guess Freddie would have disagreed with you!

i't was his birthday party in 1990. Look at the book Mercury and me, and you see it.
I've ordered that book at amazon.com in December. They keep delaying it and i still don't have it! Damn.
Gotta wonder how those photos got out...
