I live in Kassel - - each time I pass the Eissporthalle I think of our guys for a second... God, I still cannot imagine they've really been playing there...but in the early 80s there were actually quite a few greater bands/acts who played the Eissporthalle - since then things have changed immensly...

Well, in 1982 there were other 3 bands that were great live acts, although none so great as Queen:
Van Halen
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
each to it´s own, but the early Heavy Metal bands just kicked some ass!!
Queen were more cohesive as a live band, but they took less risks than Van Halen.
And here´s a link about Van HAlen in 1982 (i found this the other day and i was impressed by the sound of it:

Well, in 1982 there were other 3 bands that were great live acts, although none so great as Queen:
Van Halen
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
each to it´s own, but the early Heavy Metal bands just kicked some ass!!
Queen were more cohesive as a live band, but they took less risks than Van Halen.

Ah yes... Eddie Van Halen. A true genius, and a true guitar hero. Unlike most of the speed-metal players/tappers that came after him, Eddie made his technique sound truly musical. Now if only he could get his personal life into order...

I was only jesting Bobby. Queen are my favourite band and probably always will be but that doesn't mean to say that I don't like other bands. Sure, I listen to Maiden, Kiss, Zeppelin and loads of others but I'm not 'into' them as much as Queen.
