Does anyone else think that Queen's songs could be made into a musicals?????? I think they could. His lyrics are like mini plays and the actual music is so dramatic! I love it!!

Nope.

Er, wait a second. Maybe they could.

I got an idear. How 'bout doing something similar in theme to Rush's '2112' or Styx'
'Kilroy Was Here'?

And call it....uhm, er, well, something similar to the first track from, oh, what the heck, the 'News of the World' album.

whaddya think?

Hey I know not everyone is a musical kind of person but don't just completely say 'Nope.' Give it a chance. I don't know who those examples you were talking about. Are they like Queen? I am sorta a new fan to the legendary Queen! :)

What Goodco is trying to tell you is that there is such a musical and a phenomenally successful one at that called 'We Will Rock You'. Find out more at: www.queenonline.com/wewillrockyou
Radio! Someone still loves you!

Is this thread a joke?
I'm afraid the poor dear is serious. May Freddie have mercy on her soul.

You know, hearing songs like '39 or The Prophet Song, I think Brian could've easily written a rock opera (ala Townshend). What a pity they never did it!
Jam what? I'm not really hungry.

jk

Hey, it's cool having a new fan around so I like you, EmmaJane. Don't mind our rude behavior, it comes and it goes. Enjoy your stay here at Queenzone!

A 2112 musical? That would be killer. The song (over 20 minutes long) is a tale all within itself... :p
We can only grow the way the wind blows On a bare and weathered shore We can only bow to the here and now In our elemental war - Rush, "The Way The Wind Blows"

I think the second side of Queen II (Side Black) could be seen as somewhat of a loose concept album, but that's about as close as they came. I remember Brian wanted to do a concept album but the rest called him pretentious (a bit ironic coming from Queen ;)

Whenever they did something serious like "The Prophet's Song", it was in the midst of other more comical numbers showing they weren't taking anything too seriously...they did seem a little unsure of themselves at being able to do something completely serious (which they were capable of), instead opting for doing "spoofs" of serious material. Of course everything turned out great in hindsight :) But I guess they weren't always as confident as they appeared.

Welcome to Queenzone!
is she f-ing kidding me? YOU REALLY ARE A NEWBIE! why don't you do your f-ing research first before posting your threads! if you want an answer, google it! HELLO! where are you from? the year of '39?
I think some people need to leave the poor girl alone. She is just another fan to the band, only sha hasn't been a fan as long. Is it so wrong to ask an honest question?
Hope that you learned something from this thread anyway, Emma!
