Duh. I meant, The best actor to match his likeness. For a movie about his life.
I think a relatively unknown (but extremely talented) actor should be chosen. I think Johnny Depp would do an EXCELLENT job of portraying Freddie, but if he is chosen, people might see and think Johnny first, then see Freddie in the characterization. Whereas, if an unknown is used, we are more apt to just see "Freddie."

I don't think there is an Actor that would be a good Freddie Mercury.

Johnny Depp > Sacha Cohen but Johnny still falls short.

It's like those Freddie imitators who sound remarkably like Freddie 90% of the time. But that 10% ruins it.
