I believe MPEG 1 is incorrect. It should be MPEG2.
I'm confirming this with the person who made the DVD. My converter software is reading the files as MPEG2.

It doesnt come back once its been lost Sith.
If we can get the VHS,it can be re-transfered properly and apply needed filters at the transfer stage.

Yes, transfers like this one make me want to have the original VHS, so I could do it correctly :( (high bitrate, LPCM sound, correct aspect ratio, color-correction...)Why is it actually encoded as 16:9 when the source is 4:3 ?

I don't think this was ever an MPEG 1 file. It was an error on my part to mention it.
This is the info I just got from the sharer of this video. "The copy I sent you come from vhs tape that I copied on to a pc then created the dvd using TMPGEnc source creator and thenTMPGEnc DVD creator"."The file I created was an AVI file when transfering on to the PC".
I guess this further changes the lineage does't it?

Yes! Thanks! The concert is excellent,and I think that the person who filmed that was a professional cameraman because the camera is not shaking at all! The video quality is VG and the audio is VG too. Even if it's an audience recording it's still worth watching! The widescreen version of it is nice,but why did you make a DVD of it? 4.7 GB to download took more than 5 days to download. You could simply add the Mpeg file here. Anyway It's Excellent! Download it NOW!

A DVD is the best quality (although technically, this DVD could have even been encoded in better quality). Making it into an MPG would have degraded the quality. Or are you talking about the lossless MPG from before it was encoded to VOB?
