Actually, I was just cracking a joke at Freud's expense, most of Traumdeutung being about sex, no matter how far-fetched it may sometimes be.* But hey, I'll give it a shot, there's definitely material an unscrupulous pseudo-psychologist could latch onto there.
Post-Freddie is evidently a reference to loss and conclusion. Loss of an idol and a friend, but perhaps also the conclusion of a phase in life. The young Indian guy would then represent the beginning of a new phase. The same thing is echoed in Roger being "too late". The fact that the young man, who represents the object of your desire, is Indian might well be a subconscious association with the Kama Sutra, perhaps expressing a desire to be more sexually adventurous (with the absence of Freddie illustrating the darker, dangerous side to that) - the fact that the ethnicity of the young man is related to your subconscious feelings is made clear by the fact that you, in your own words, "instinctively knew he was from India". The reference to a nameless old rockstar who had extensive plastic surgery seems to refer to a desire to cling on to your youth, or perhaps a fear of moving ahead in life. Both your disappointment in the lack of Roger-vocals and Brian referring to cheek implants are explicit oral references. The guitar is one of the most typical phallic symbols, putting guitars in a combination with cheeks would seem an obvious reference to performing oral sex on a man. The guitar pick, the thing that turns a guitar from an object into the source of (musical) pleasure and productiveness symbolizes you yourself. Looking for it and being unable to find it suggests feeling lost or being unsure of your own (sexual) identity and place in the world, or perhaps the feeling that you are not fulfilling a role as a caring lover that you really desire. The bed is a clear sexual metaphor, as the most common place for intercourse, and looking under it suggests looking for deeper meaning behind superficial sexual contacts, perhaps looking for a more serious relationship. The dust bunnies might represent bad parts of the past, perhaps feelings of guilt or disappointment over past sexual encounters, that you still carry with you, but could also be you telling yourself that a man who is the object of your affections is not a perfect being, but has his own flaws and failings which you might find more relatable than you expect.
DISCLAIMER: the above is pure pseudo-intellectual hokum. If I accidentally got some things right that is either pure coincidence or my own subconscious mind being smarter than I am. I have no real qualifications in psychology whatsoever, but honestly, I know some psychologists, and neither do they.
* sidenote: I do actually think Freud was really relevant in his time (not in the last place for recognizing that you can't raise children to healthy adults by carefully shielding them from any oblique reference to sexuality in life until the day they get married and for accepting that sexuality is a healthy part of life for women, too), and he did raise valid points about sublimated sexuality being present in many psychological problems, I just think he took things too far very frequently, he was a narcissist, and he did many things I could only describe as malpractice. His anthropological works like Totem und Tabu and Mozes und Monotheismus (the guy really liked alliterations!) are excellent! This concludes today's nerdy-scholarly-aside.

Hahaha! That was lovely, thomasquinn!
Actually, I was aware that you were joking when referencing Freud, but your take on my dream is just amazing! You got all that from dust bunnies and old rock stars! I think you'd make an excellent psychologist. Perhaps a new career path is indicated?
PS: The disclaimer is perfect!

Sorry, double post.
Thomasquinn, this one is for you....
Last night I had another Queen, well actually, Brian dream. This is just my third Queen dream in all my life - the first one had to do with Freddie and was 2 years ago. And now 2 within a few days!!! Weird!
Okay, I was in a kind of living room. There were a couple of other people - just random people in the room. Brian was standing at the end opposite me, and he started singing, but ended up playing the piano, Freddie style - very showy! After it was over I started clapping. Then he was standing on my side of the room, and I went and shook his hand and told him I was thrilled to hear him play as I am a major Queen fan. He looked at me and said I was too young to be a Queen fan! Then he told me he wanted to show me something and took me through to another room - very kitcheny (no beds whatsoever in this dream, so forget Freud), and filthy! Cobwebs all over the windows, grime and dust everywhere. That was it.
Why am I getting dreams of Brian and dirt and filth. And no, it is NOT because I have any dirty thoughts about him - he is the least appealing of all the Queen members to me! No sex appeal at all.
I am really puzzled. Anybody here who can interpret dreams?

For some reason, the dreams I've had with Queen in, are mostly about Freddie and his illness. I've had a few where he's performing on stage in front of a huge crowd (similar to the Magic Tour gigs), but he's ill, and I'm amazed that he's still putting on a good show (one I had once, Queen were performing on a huge ship out at sea, and Freddie fell overboard during the concert). Another I remember, is where he's still alive now, but still ill - then I wake up and remember he died back in 91. Very strange.
I dreamed I was watching the latest Queen video.
The next day I went to the record store to ask for the latest Queen release, which obviously wasn't there.
A few months later I saw the new video of 'I Want It All' and I was stunned; It was exactly as it was in the dream!

Proof of reincarnation? Reliving the same existence?
I always figured that was possible seeing how sound waves peak and collapse etc (analogous in terms of the universe)
Or maybe DoRo stole your dreams! ;)

I have had several involving meeting Brian May in recent times. I'm not sure why. It's usually talk about guitar playing.
Actually I never ever thought that I `am "forced" to contribute in this thread... The Dream / Nightmare

I was visiting a Queen Convention somewhere in Cornwall and everything was fine. There was some sort of interview on the stage. Everyone was pleased with the stuff and I was sitting in the last line and just enjoying it. Suddenly I felt quite strange. From the left out of a dark corner a man apperared.
He took the seat next to me and I recognized who he was....John Deacon...he was dressed in black and had a huge Amulet around his Neck. The chain was really valuable...but the Amulet itself had the quality of a shrunken pancake at best. Then he grab for the Amulet and said "Look...there is no Secret"...I just `ve nodded. Then he stands up and disappeared into the dark corner where he was coming from. I was quite shocked but decided to follow him. As soon I reached that dark corner, I realized - There is no secret.

Presumably because. ....
.... There IS no secret?

I often dream I'm in a record store and I find Queen bootlegs or other rare stuff. The other night, I dreamed I found a 2" (yes, 2"!) CD single of Love Kills in a supermarket!
I had another dream about Queen last night : I was in a bookstore and I saw a Queen book, similar to the Beatles' Anthology, released around 1995-1996, signed by all four band members (yup, including Freddie). Then, Roger Taylor appeared and told me he might have both his legs amputated because of his diabetes, then he walked away, sobbing.
I had a pretty light and THEN frightening dream last night, that'll "learn me to read all the vitriol" on QZ especially the Greg Brooks threads before i go to sleep....cause I'm CERTAIN they polluted my dream.
I dreamt that a brown haired Brian May had visited me, (at the house), we'd looked at space in the garage and were all thinking "cool, it'll work...." then Brian would go back and bring some gear and we'd jam.
Then someone came up the driveway leading up to the garage. I said my parting words with Brian and he started to leave but turned around. Then the guy that has just pulled up...released the gear and the car rolled back a full 2 feet pinning Brian's left shoe entirely under the wheel.
I was shocked and started pointing "MOVE MOVE! " but it came up nothing from the dumbass in the car.
THEN! the wheel came down furthering evidence that by now the foot was entirely crushed.
I winced in horror, after all I'd invited him.
Then the asshole moved his car, and Brian was completely gutted and horrified, because this meant his career on stage was possibly over. He carried a mashed clog with each step and i horrified-ly? Is that a word?
I woke up terrified and dreadful.
I blame it all on the Greg Brooks thread...so much hatred bringing in poison into my dreams.
Anyways. That happened.
Then i went back to sleep and had two more dreams, one of my dearly beloved former future ex wife.
Another of the current gal i have a thing for....bothwere sweet and very kissy kissy
