Hi. Don't get me wrong, FLAC purists, but someone asked for mp3 version of this gig, so here it is, the first concert of The Works Tour. But if someone could share it in FLAC, I would be grateful.

So you ignore it
Then you request the show in lossless format.

Now the mp3 lovers can get both,1 lossless and 1 that they can convert to mp3 FOR PERSONAL USE after they've downloaded the lossless.
Oh,there's a bonus ....you don't get the tag of a trade pool polluter.
Especially after you then ask for a lossless version after fooking up the trade circles....because you have even if you think you havn't.

Think a bit next time
Thank you very much, vlatko!

Does anybody have the other show that Queen did in Brussels in 1984 (Sept. 21st)?
A double LP called "King's Favourite" was made from that show.

Could anybody upload it here @ QZ, please?

Thank you so very much in advance!
Cheers ;-)

Maybe there's a good reason why there are less and less mp3 shares these days...

[/QUOTE]A very good reason indeed! And many posts about it aswell...

Please people, check out the shows in FLAC and you can REALLY start collecting shows. Having shows is so much more fun when you have the best version and there are a lot of best version flacs on queenzone. Enjoy them!
on my way up

By saying that ,you are actually saying stick lossless recordings.

Flac is just a lossless format,as is Shn for another example.
The point is that they are lossless compression formats and do not damage the original recording.
You don't want the best recordings possible of a show then?...

now have a coke,a smile and shut the fook up.

928:

I understand everything you wrote and I really prefer lossless and very much respect all fans who share FLAC. But I also realise that I have a lot of concerts in mp3, all received for free by sharing, and I remember how happy I was when I got a show I wanted to hear for many years. So I think it’d be selfish not to share a gig I got for free when it requires so little to do. And I haven’t heard about such QZ rule that mp3 sharing is forbidden. I know at least one person who asked for it is extremely happy now and that makes me feel really good.

I’ve never shared or asked for any official stuff and haven’t made any profit from the material that was shared, even I haven’t converted any lossless show to mp3 for personal use, so now you call me a trade polluter? Can you guarantee that FLAC would not be converted into mp3 and then spread or sold as lossless? If FLAC can be converted to mp3 that means it has the same potential to be threat to pollute the market. That’s very sad but you can't deny it.

By the way, the second day after uploading 46 downloads so far - quite a big number. If the most Queenzoners hate mp3 nobody forces them to download it (four reactions with thank you and five with insults is a different story…). I think that’s a proof that there is still interest in mp3, especially when a lossless version isn’t available.

After the request appeared, I was the only one who reacted. That could mean no-one is willing to share his lossless or mp3 version or nobody has got this show. Of course I wouldn’t share it if any better version appeared. But I wanted to give back something to the community that gave me a lot of great music. Or ignoring legal requests of fans is more suitable behaviour than sharing on the site established for sharing? Was my intention so bad?

That's just because most people are too lazy to find the lossless version themselves. When I started collecting concerts about 8 years ago, very few people had high speed connections, so trades were done by email and the post. These days, people are so amazed when certain concerts are shared here, but really, all one has to do is send a few emails out to get them. There is a huge list of collectors at queenconcerts.com, and anyone can get started there.

Using chewing tobacco causes lung cancer only if a person BURNS chewing tobacco AND then intentionally or unintentionally SHARES the secondhand smoke.

Sharing lossy recordings causes trading pool pollution only if a person CONVERTS lossy to lossless AND then intentionally or unintentionally SHARES the fake "lossless" recordings.

Evidently it is convenient and fun to insult mp3 sharers rather than blame the producers of fake lossy recordings for polluting the trade pool.

I guess I will never use cold medicine when suffering nasal congestion, because it will give me the reputation as being a crystal meth abuser.

Why can't these conservative "do-gooders" like Jerry "GH" Falwell or Tammy "928" Baker stay out of our "bedrooms"?
