I think it's fair to say that queen were probably the greatest live band the world has ever seen, however without the genous of freddie mercury at the helm probably could not have carried off the magic on stage. Also a lot of credit also has to go to may, taylor and deacon, it was a great mix of ideas which is why when you bought any queen album each individual track sounded different. Take the works for example hammer to fall with it's heavy metal riff and radio ga ga which is a pop record, they never stuck to a formula it was all new and exiting. 1986 has to be the year when queen finaly became champions of the world and one can't help wonder how they would have progressed had freddie not got ill. If 1992 had been a queen comeback concert instead of the tribute concert, freddie would have sounded fantastic singing I want to all and Innuendo, what a shame the great freddie had to be so cruely cut down at the pinacle of his career. I always wonder how far his stage constume would have went, I suspect he probably would have mellowed with age and have worn a very expensive suit or something, but we'll never know. Also I think he would have followed in the footstepes of david bowie and become a movie star by now as the recent phantom of opera movie was actually intended for freddie to take the lead roll way back in 1991 which andrew lyoyd webber only disclosed shortly after the death of freddie.

Freddie Mercury is like the best friend and lover I never had. I wish he could be here to see the love I have for him, the bond I feel with him from his music and videos. I miss him and love him, I will rember him for all time. Till we meet in the next life, Freddie.

What hasn't been said about you already , this shows how much people took you to heart. Every great artist of time suffered Picasso, Proust, Mozart why should you have been any different, but when you are a 14 year old teenager who had the most awful afliction to making friends and not wanting to socialise with any cretin who did not understand every lyric on Queen II album you were our world and we thank you for your suffering. We wish you well and peace always our friend.

freddie was a great inspiration to many people and, aspecially to me, i love the bands music, it was like when rock merged with life and made the audience feel just how you would, if the song was about you. Freddie's death of AIDS was horrible and very disturbing as the second king of rock had passed away..... yeat even though Freddie is dead... his music lives on through each and every one of us who loved it!!!
