Freddie, I'm writing this to you even though I feel a little silly doing so. I'm a new Queen fan. I've been staying up until 6am every night of the past week because I've been unable to keep your music out of my head. I am so inspired that you furiously created music even in the last year of your life. You were a genius of music and performance, and I miss you sorely. I'm pretty much an atheist so it feels oddly paganistic to write letters to a dead person, but - it's so strange to say - it's almost like you've given me faith and I want to believe that your spirit goes on living in all of us. Thank you for your beautiful music, Freddie!
