Queen's songs ''We Will Rock You'' and ''We Are The Champions'' was featured in the period piece film, ''A Knight's Tale'' which was broadcast and shown on Saturday 12/31/2005 from 8:00pm EST to 11:00pm EST on the ABC Television Network in the USA.

Queen's original version of ''We Will Rock You'' opened and introduced the film and was played as the opening film credits ran, of this whimsical and meaningful film starring Aussie actor, Heath Ledger as a man born of humble birth who aspires to be a noble knight.

''We Will Rock You'' could be heard by Queen, as the local villagers in attendance to see the knights competing in a jousting tournament, also sang the song, and clapped their hands along to Queen's infamous foot stomp on the song, in unison.

The specially recorded new, version of ''We Are The Champions', done just for the film with Queen and Robbie Williams, was not played, as it was cut off, when ABC showed the ending film credits on the right hand side of the TV screen, while simultaneously broadcasting a commercial on the left hand side on the TV screen.

However, the credits for both the original Queen version of WWRY and the new version of WATC with Queen and Robbie Williams, were shown on the ending film credits.
