British rockers FRANZ FERDINAND have revealed the surprising inspiration behind their new album - eighties glam rockers QUEEN. The band recently released YOU COULD HAVE IT SO MUCH BETTER, a quick follow up to their 2004 eponymous debut album. And frontman ALEX KAPRANOS is appealing to fans to try and spot the similiarities.
He says, "I've loved Queen ever since I was young. I think there's a Queen influence on the new record - especially their rhythm section. ROGER TAYLOR and JOHN DEACON were masterful. The bass line to ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST is brilliant. I think FREDDIE MERCURY is the ultimate showman. He really inspires me when I perform."
