Giant Magazine's February 2006 Issue has an article entitled "The 50 Greatest Movie Soundtracks of All Time".
Admittedly, the Queen-screamed theme song - with its "Flash-Ah-ahhh!" chorus - is particularly corny, even by Freddie Mercury's high-camp standards. But Gordon contains some of guitarist Brian May's coolest instrumentals, albeit with ludicrous names like "In the Space Capsule (The Love Theme)." The cut "The Hero" is a big stupid, guilty pleasure - much like the movie itself.
