Queen cover band Lurex rocked an excited crowd of hundreds in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, last friday.
The lead singer, Reinaldo, has a huge stage persona and a great voice, not to mention his keyboard skills. Renato is a great guitarrist, who likes to improvise with his Red Special (boy, what was that AOBTD solo?). Chico knows very well his stuff on the bass, which he plays passionately, and is always in contact with the crowd. Renato, with his Roger Taylor looking-nowhere looks, does a great job on the drums, he is very accurate. And all of them sing backing vocals!
The band played a set full of hits to a pleased audience, including the famous Rock'n Roll Medley. Lurex gigs are not to be missed, these guys really love what they do and they do know how to get an audience going, after seven years on the road.
Appart from the band's proved skills, they do it with such a pleasure, that you just can't stop rocking along.
