The auction of items belonging to Freddie Mercury and Queen have been gathered over 33 years by dedicated fan Basge Asselbergs.

Items on sale will include a 1975 US-awarded gold disc for Bohemian Rhapsody. Also a 1970 Sunburst acoustic guitar, the only one known
to have been signed by all of the band.

The auction is being run by Eton-based Cooper Owen which specialises in music and film memorabilia.

Director Louise Cooper said: “Freddie Mercury items are very exclusive and the auction has attracted a lot of interest. It is hard to say how much particular items will sell for but we are expecting some keen prices.”
