Although they make great conversation at the dinner table, these stories are apparently untrue. Although the eccentric Who drummer was a renowned wildman, Moon never did drive into a hotel pool (although he did once reverse into his garden pond by accident, which is probably where the story began). Yet so many people believed the urban myth that a submerged Rolls- Royce featured on an Oasis album cover and Jeremy Clarkson once performed a similar stunt.
