That's because those of us who talk about sharing are unable to GET any rarities. All we can access are the leaked MP3s and FLACs, and of course, once leaked they do not have any value.
We can't get any "rarities" because we don't have any rare items to trade from them with.
[/QUOTE]

yes, in fact!
we can't get any rarities because we don't get any rarities to give from the fucking collectors!!!!!
it's useless even to talk with that people, they want to be superior just because they don't have nothing else to do in their life.
I mean, why should I become a collector and live my life just to get rare material???
I have other things to do in my life, I'm not a stupid kid without a girl and a job who lives just to get Queen rarities and to listen to them alone without sharing.
shit, what a sad life!!!!
I don't have a stupid blacklst too.
sorry, I'm not NAZIS :-S
I'm really sad for you, fucking collectors :(
though I don't give a shit to them.!!
they don't share emotions, they don't want to comment the rare stuff with us, so FUCK YOU!!!
but then again, your life must be very sad, if your only point is to get Queen rarities :(
Hey, I am a collector and i gave away something which was very rare and wanted previous to my upload. Now that it is uploaded you want more. Most queen collectors are generous while other so called collectors just sit around and cmplain but as a matter of fact if real effort is made and you try hard enough you will see. Sur how do you think Queen collectors started their collection.

ahahahhahah, you are wondering why I want more????
because you posted a fucking loop of 22 secs repeated for 5 or 6 times and the song is 10 min long!!
what should I do???
should I say ''ok, thank you!! now I can wait until 2070 to see this fucking thing released in the box set''????
I mean, it's obvious that I want more.
Would you prefer not to have gotten it? Go on you upload something that is rare. You can not. you are an ungrateful wanker. Fuck off.

I agree, enoughforme is being a little prick.
But Mr Scully, where do you suggest I look for rarities?
Do they just sorta plop into your lap?
Do you break into the Queen Vaults, slip Greg Brooks some chloroform, and steal a master tape? ;)

where did I say that I don't like these 22 secs of FIA???
why should you insult me???
I just said that it's obvious that I would like to have more....
and then I added some thoughts about the fucking collectors..
but it has nothing to do with you, my dear CD!!!
so, I still don't understand your insults :(

His insults probably come from you being greedy and moreover a dipshit. Bitching about everyone not giving you everything. Being that a sample is out now, can you blame people for keeping it to themselves and maybe try to get something out of it. This is the first many of have heard it and it was recorded when.... at least 16 years ago. Do you think your tact is gonna get it for you sooner?
If I had to choose between being a "fucking collector" and having the intelligence of Enoughforme... I think my choice would be obvious.

It's always like this. Somebody posts a track (or a sample or whatever) and most people just keep on bitching and whinning. They download it for free but they want more. They have downloaded probably 100 demos from QueenZone in the past year, yet they insist they desperately NEED the 101st one and if they don't get it soon, it will be unfair and it's fault of collectors. They complain about how cruel life is, how the fucking collectors don't want to trade with them etc. etc.

Sometimes I wonder why the generous people post anything in this forum at all - because there are so many ungrateful leechers here...

These are the word of mouth...my mouth! So many ungrateful people here! I´ve got the whole 10 minute demo and this is a reason why I don´t post it here on this board!
Hey MAYniac91, I was wondering if you want to talk about trading by e-mail. I understand what you mean about the forum so if you want to e-mail me just drop me a line. Thanks for your time.

This topic is still going?

The amount of material shared lately on QZ is much higher than it has been in years.

Hopefully, the demands for the full version of FIA will soon cease, before any damage is done to the positive sharing atmosphere on QZ. So much new or improved material has been shared in the last year or so.

The sharers / collectors should be thanked occasionally for the large volume they do share rather than always be subjected to demands about the pittance that is not shared.

Really, there should be more ass kissing on QZ than ass kicking.
Socialism: There's one for you, nineteen for me Should five per cent appear too small Be thankful I don't take it all
Of course I don't like that pretentious, arrogant behaviour of some people here on the board (I'm not talking of the collectors – they're arrogant, too, sometimes, but they can afford it). Maybe a percentage is just based on language comprehension issues (e.g. look at my English!), but mostly it's new members of the forum who have the impression that QZ is something like another half-legal torrent portal. Search - find - grab - leave ... or bitch.

What happened to the posts counter? It's a great feature to judge some posts. But here's a trick: type in the URL http://www.queenzone.com:80/queen/forum/topic_view.asp?Q_FORUM_ID=4&Q_FORUM_NAME=Sharing+The+Music+%2D+Announce&Q_FORUM_TOPIC_ID=1000157&TOPIC_SUBJECT=Finally+FACE+IT+ALONE&page=6 and you can see the forum in its old layout – including the counter. Interesting, isn't it?
... I'll be back again before it's time for sunny-down ...
I'll try and add something constructive to this, but I give it about a 0% chance of working.

I am not a trader. I am a leech at best. I keep files seeded for as long as I can, and I rarely delete torrents so that I can reseed files I have for people needing them. Even if I wanted to start trading, I couldn't. I have exactly four pieces of Queen memorabilia--two tickets, a program, and a t-shirt from the Q+PR Glendale, AZ, show, and for sentimental reasons I will never part with any of those. Of those four items, only the ticket would get me a thing right now, and that would be a CD of a common bootleg. At best.

There are other ways to get into trading, sure. You can spend tons of money buying memorabilia, then trade shed loads of that for one or two uncommon items. Once you have five or so of those uncommon items, you might, *might* be able to trade them for a single rarity--assuming you could find a collector who had the rarity you were after and didn't have those items already.

That's pretty much how it works. Some years ago, I was an active trader of aircraft safety cards. I think my proudest accomplishment was convincing a fellow trader that I could jack 25 safety cards from a Continental Airlines 737 in one trip, and getting him to bet me his 1980s Aeroflot Il-62 card that I couldn't. Somehow or another, I got off the plane with all 25 of those cards jammed under my jacket, and when you're a skinny 13-year-old, that's not easy!

The point is, I don't like jumping through hoops for stuff that I may cherish forever, or, in the case of my still-massive collection of safety cards, may end up in an unmarked box in a parent's attic ten years after the fact. For that reason, I'm perfectly content to download whatever is shared that interests me, and if I keep it after the first couple of listens, hang onto the FLACs and seed when possible. There's stuff I'd love to hear that, because I'm unwilling to dish out tons of money for, I never will. I'd die for a copy of the studio-recorded Rock 'N Roll medley, and I'd run naked through City Hall for the multitrack recordings to Hammy '79 (so I could make digital copies before sending them back to QP, but that's beside the point).

There are some rarities out there that we, as downloaders, will have to patiently wait for. FIA is one of those. There are a select few tracks/shows that the common ear will never hear. Deal with it.

One of the things we as downloaders have to accept is that rarities are a necessity. If someone were to upload the studio Rock 'N Roll medley here, it's no longer usable in trades for rarities. That means that if someone comes to Sir GH, YourValentine, or Mr. Scully (assuming any of them even have that song) in a year and offers up, say, Sunbury video, that's one less item that they can offer to take a shot at another ultra-rare item.

Honestly, the only thing that really, really bugs me about traders are the ones who feel the need to come into a thread regarding a share of an entirely new show (or a significantly-better version) and brag about how they have a better version than the one shared but won't/"aren't allowed" to share it. Listen, I admire your balls as much as you do, but please don't run around sticking them in other people's faces saying "LOOK! MINE ARE BIGGER!" If you're simply posting to say, "I have a better copy and will not trade/share it," go screw yourself. If you're posting to say, "I have a better copy but I'm not allowed to trade/share it," ok, congratulations, but it's still kind of smug.

If, however, you're posting to say, "I have a better copy that I'm not currently allowed to trade/share, but I'm working on that and may have some good news soon," then I want to hear about it. Does this make me a selfish prick? Yeah, probably, but I've been called worse.

Bottom line: rarities are a necessity for a trade market to exist. They are the 5% commodity that makes it poss
"Do you think I should keep this mustache? Did you say no? F--- off."
Amen. If there's no reward for digging out the gems, nobody will dig.
