You can join us to see "We WIll Rock You" in Toronto on Thursday August 9th, or just come to the convention from August 10-12. Hotel rooms are very reasonably priced, and you'll definitely be in GOOD COMPANY!

There will be a Queen marketplace/swapmeet, a costume contest (theme is WWRY!), Guitar Hero ("Killer Queen") Face-off, Queen trivia contests, an optional side trip to a Major League baseball game, lots of Queen videos and music of course, as well as a live performance by Rock a la Carte www.myspace.com/httpwwwmyspacecomrockalacarte and much more!

Ok-now is the covention taking place at the hotel?

The convention is taking place at the hotel in Detroit (well, Farmington Hills), yes. The optional WWRY Toronto trip is just one night, then it moves to the main event in Michigan.

As in the past with Breakthru, usually a ballroom and a couple meeting rooms are utilized for activities and live bands. The best part is often the room parties! :D

I believe Breakthru will be back next year, too, so maybe start saving for that one! :)

^yeah :) I'd like to go to one of them-I'm in Connecticut, US so it's a little ways to go, but I wish they'd have one even closer like New York or something or Pennsylvania

Most US conventions like Breakthru and this one are held in central locations so people from both coasts can go without having to cross the entire country. Breakthru was in Cleveland OH last year, not sure about next year!

I'm from the UK and I went to Cleveland last year to the Breakthru convention. I went with a girl I had only chatted to online in fact we met on the Queenzone chatroom. Anyway it was my first convention and I had the time of my life. It was so great.

I was there too, I wonder if we met? There were only a few folks from the UK-- Sarah and Terry off the top of my head. It was a blast! Are you coming to this convention?

hmmm yeah I know what you mean, but I wish we had a whole fan club in the US, I'm part of the Official International Fan Club, but It would be cool if the US had something itself.
