I didn't like her vocal improv parts - too showy like she's trying to stand out from the other guys and forgot about the song.

I agree! It would be wonderfull just to listen to Celine Dion alone. The backing track it´s really not for her standards. I mean, you have one of the most talented female singer in the world and you guive her something like this??!
I only talked about the drums, and being a guitar player myself (not professional, but quite good ; )) i tried to stay away of that discussion, and i was waiting for you to share your views ; )
- and since i respect session musicians, i´m thinking that they didn´t have the time to do anything better.

The two guys did nothing for the song, except bringing it down. One of them two whinny and the other one struggling to reach the notes.
I think that Celine has a great voice but she seems to be holding back in this effort. I didn't think she was showing off or anything. I'd like to hear a proper version with Celine Dion and a proper and more suitable instrumentation. I don't like her when she tries to rock, hehe :).
