This Assassin demo is obviously GENUINE. As every 'elite' collector knows, it was recorded by Freddie (vocals, piano, bass programming) and Roger (vocals, keyboards, drum programming) at Crossford Mill Studios in late 1992.

People are taking things too seriously. It´s obvious that somebody was taking the piss out of queen collectors. You won´t find a single moment in Freddie´s career when he sings like a drunk. You can´t hear a good word from him and his ad-libing has nothing to do with Freddie´´s (and i´m not even comparing the voices!!).

But c´mon guys, even in the end these guys are making it clear that this is a joke:

Roger: You did a very good job freddie!

freddie: Thank you.

Now guys, do you think that Roger would congratulate Freddie on something like this? in this era Freddie recorded "The show must go on" in one take. ONE TAKE!

His body was ill, but not his soul. He couldn´t sing like this even if he tried.

The first thing coming to mind when hearing this was Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "The power of love" :)
Quite similar in many parts.
Basically a poor fake and a sick joke. Especially the way in what "Freddie" says "Thank you" in the end is most revealing. Sounds like poor acting or something.

Sadly it is obviously not Freddie or Queen. I was so full of joy to hear new vocals from Freddie`s brilliant voice and now I´m deep disappointed... but lot of great Thanks to Czechi for Sharing it, I am conviced, that you have true intentions and will by yourself disappionted, if you realise that this is a fake.

This could be a real demo from a band, but we're talking about Freddie Fuckin Mercury here. He wouldn't sound this bad..or bad at all really. The 'thank you' at the end gave it away. Its fake. Plus isn't Assassin supposed to be similar to Innuendo?

We do have a sense of humour on QZ, and these days anybody who posts an unreleased demo gets looked at with a bucket full of salt, but posting a 410 mb file is just taking the piss.
I'm so glad that I didn't actually download it as i pay £15 (average of 35euros/$45) a month for broadband with a monthly download/upload limit of 8gb between the hours of 8am and midnight, and your 410mb "joke" is pretty much an eigth of that limit - what a waste that would have been!

The downside matey, is that everyone will view you with suspicion from now on and you've just added yourself to the list of piss takers who think it's funny to post Queen demos that aren't real.
My sense of humour has dried up today.
