The Aug 25 DVD is a little jumpy (esp as it appears to be on a ledge AND could easily have been pointed at the screen), but the good bits do appear to be very good.

eggy - if no better source comes up I'll upload it at some stage, but it will be a few weeks (splitting the tracks takes me ages and I've got a lot on at present). I'll let you know when it's ready - give us a shout if another source comes up in the meantime.

Yes, it could indeed have been a lot better as it seems to have been shot from one of the private boxes. I did wonder for a few times why the camera was pointing into nowhere, but it must because of an inexperienced (and excited) cameraman.

Still, it's a nice thing to have if the official dvd never materialises...
Brian May on Sunday's show...

Also on brainmay.com is appears

Official DVD's and Prince are always dodgy, check the Las Vegas DVD - an awesome 3 hour show is butchered into a dis-jointed 80 minute DVD.
Please don't do that again Prince!!
Plus there really aren't that many out there.

I've not got many DVD boots as the size of downloading always puts me off and generally the quality is stinkingly bad! Any recommendations Tero?

Fair play if you are busy PG - ASAP would be grand, always means more to have boots of the gigs you were at, will let you know if I see it around before you get chance to sort it out. I don't mind one stream, I can edit it to save you time!

I have to admit I had much higher hopes with the Las Vegas dvd... I'm hoping that was due to not having a professional filming crew present, which is going to be corrected this time around. :/

How slow is your connection if a dvd sized-file is a problem? I have a 512kbit connection, and it's not a problem to leave the computer on for a day or two to download a complete new dvd from dimeadozen. ;)

You have seen the screencaptures from the new dvd?

It's got a good quality for 80 minutes or so, and definitely worth looking at. In fact I don't remember many Prince shows from DaD which would have better picture quality, with the possible exception of NY 1981... In fact I think these are two only two bootleg dvds I've watched from start to finish.
in case anyone is interested
sky news in the UK are showing part of his show tonight [21st sept] between 8.30 and 9pm.aparantly there is a podcast via their web thingy too.
isnt innuendo an italian suppository? im gonna ride the wild wind! its_a_hard_life wrote:you nutcase you rule! joxer replies: but in a nice way :-]
Also a nice clip from a show up on 3121.com

These for your memories shows out are just awesome!! Getting most of them at the moment.

My Broadband is 8 meg Tero, I've just never used Torrents. I use direct connect and it can be slow, depending on connections etc. I never get time to listen/ watch everything I have, but I am sure you know how it is!

Shame the shows are over, cannot belive I was as stupid as not to get tickets for the last aftershow, went to the 20th one and all I got was some huge mama and some rubbish guy doing a beatbox - sods law and all!
I don't download THAT much myself... Just a few TV shows which would take years to get here, and the occasional Prince dvds. ;)

I have to admit though, that I've downloaded about half of the FYM bootleg series by now. :P
I doubt I'll be saving them all, but it's nice to at least hear all the concerts even though I didn't get to see them.

I feel a bit silly myself because I flew over to London to see the two main shows, and had tickets to both of the aftershows, but I was just too exhausted to go to either of them after all the other sightseeing I did. :/
Another source of the 16th has now been released so it looks like I'm off the hook.

Actually, for anyone that cares, all 21 nights (and 20 of 21 aftershows) are now "out there", which is pretty amazing so soon after the end of the run.
It's great to be able to hear the different performances, and those songs that weren't played when I was there... For someone like Prince it's worthwhile to collect several recordings of the same tour.

For some artists it would be like listening to an identical tape night after night. :P

Apparently there are at least three dvds doing the rounds as well... the Sep 9th and 13th, If I remember correctly. I haven't seen these myself, and I don't think I'm going to need more than the one video I already have.
In some respects I hope it's not the 13th - I sold the tickets I had for that night and therefore missed Elton John - to have my nose rubbed in it anymore would not be my preference...
In that case You'd better not look at what's become available at dimeadozen this afternoon...
