May I declare pro-lossless folks the victor of the above "challenge", since the opponent didn't show up?

Come on... someone has to establish some kind of rules here. This is an embarrassment to the potential of today's technology and love for high quality music.

It's just a Queen concert.. not a holy grail. I bet children in Africa will feel the pain with you.

I for once convert everything to mp3, to make some DVDs with Queen music for my girlfriend to enjoy. Will I get murdered for making it mp3, will you unleash the Italian mob after me?

If someone would like to listen to a concert without bothering that bit of sound difference no-one hardly hears, then let that person do that.

The so called collectors can download the flac if they want to and others can download mp3.. everyone happy.. but noooo mister grumpy has to complain again.

Just so you know... because of this very topic, there is a collector refusing to share an uncirculated US Jazz tour recording.

I wonder what it'll take for you people to get it...

Gah, I hate the fact that people's differences gets in tha way of some peoples generosity :( , why cant people just use mp3 for their own use and have only flac here.

Bob, do you happen to have any details on this hoarded recording?
"Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

[/QUOTE]Me too. My brain is too small to understand their intentions.

I hope things will change and we'll hear those uncirculated recordings one day!
on my way up
We should be thankful that Vancouver 78 hasn't been shared lossy....I expect it won't take long, though.

It's from Memphis. There is one source from this show already being hoarded, and since they might be from the same source, I'm not going to add it to my website's "best recordings" page, since I've already listed the original one. This great piece of history probably will never be heard. Since Elvis had just died a couple months earlier, perhaps they did some kind of tribute to him other than Jailhouse Rock.

Actually, it has been! Less than a month after the initial share on TTD, I found it lossy on the guitars101 forum.

That doesn't surprise me, sadly.
