Lucciano Pavarotti - R.I.P

I was pretty suprised he passed away,never thought it could happen. I didn't listen to much of his work back then,but my mom has a Pavarotti and friends tape which was great to listen to,and I saw the clip of him and Brian singing too much love will kill you which was great.

When I find that tape,i'll play it honor of him.

To one of the greatest in Opera!

He was the man who, in many ways, brought opera to the mainstream. A true legend.

But opera has to be the snobbiest genre of music. It is the only genre where I've ever heard of a singer (legendary, at that) being booed off the stage after his voice cracked.

Rest in Peace. Here's to one of The Greatest voices in opera.

I hope he was satisfied.

He was a great talent and a wonderful personality(with lots of charisma). My parents saw him twice and it was a fantastic experience. They were VIP's at his concert and so my parents had dinner the table next to pavarotti:-)

I'm sorry, that is bollocks. Pavarotti had a very powerfull voice... and a very good one. They had diametrally different styles. Freddie couldn't sing any of Pavarotti's more famous recordings and Luciano couldn't sing rock or prance around a stage like Freddie.

You can't just go around comparing everyone to Freddie and not giving them credit. If you do so, please start with your own band's singer. And compare Brian's guitar skills and Freddie's piano playing with your band while you are at it.
