Yeah, well, even if they showed a great display of musicianship and virtuosity or feeling (which they don't), they sound dated. Of all the decades of rock and roll you had to choose the second to crappiest sounding of them all. :S
I really enjoy 80's music, don't get me wrong, but not for the "great sounding synth solos" but for really good and catchy pop tunes.

It's sad he died, but I bet there's a lot of people who claim he's one of the best yet haven't heard anything of his besides things relating to Queen. I've heard of him, but I don't know him, and I don't think I've heard much of him. Maybe something him and Bryan Adams did, but that was all.

thats what im talking about, not solos but the actual catchy melodies and harmonies they did on synths in the 80s. 80s was all about emotion and good songwriting, pure feeling. They garbage we have to hear these days is damn annoying, totally talentless people trying to play "music"

You are totally not acting like a musician. Do you think a musician would act like an idiot and fight the press or critics? No. Freddie never did. So I don't see why you have to fight people who critisize you. That's not what real musicians do, or care about. They write music to make themselves happy, and their fans, not people who dislike their music. If you are a musician, you would be off writing music or trying to see what you can do better on your songs, instead of arguing with people saying "OHH, my songs are the best!"...

As for vocal skill, Pavarotti was technically a more skilled singer but I'd rather listen to Freddie. If Freddie had good technique he would not have blown out his voice on tour and would have been even better.

I dont think there is anything wrong with our vocalist, i like what he does. As for the synth i think its very important to have it in the songs as it gives the songs depth and atmosphere which ALOT of bands lack. Queens best songs all have synth in them. Its the most important and beautiful instrument.
Bands who dont use synth harmonies seriously lack something. For example a band like U2 (which my band pisses all over 1 million times at least) totally suck and sound empty, not to mention they cant write a good song if their lives depended on it.
