Oh my... If Brian thinks that The Call would fit a new album than I am very anxious about the quality of the rest of the new stuff they want to put on it. This album might be a disaster!
:)))
I love this song. the call is a great rock song with all Queen(brian) elements. But i think it shouldn't be part of Queen+PR album... maybe as a b-side(no because doesn't have the quality to be on the album, but because the cd should have just Queen+PR new songs.)
I love "The Call" but it simply does NOT belong to a "standard" studio album

I hope not.

I want the new album to be 'new', not to be a bundle of all the recent Queen-ish material floating around. 'The Call' and 'Say It's Not True' are associated with the 46664 Mandela thing and should not be mashed into the new album.

'Take Love' and 'Hammer To Fall' are the only heard tracks I would hope to hear on the new album. Take Love is a new creation from the Q + PR merger and is perfect for the new album. Hammer may not be new but the slow version is very unique from the original version and While I know May introduced it back during his last solo tour, I think it's true perfection is how it fits with Paul's voice so well and so it would be a nice throwback track for the new album to have.

Besides, isn't 'The Call' pretty weak, and VERY weak for Queen's standards?
