There are way too many good guitar riffs, and I agree with many riffs mentioned previously here, but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Kashmir, by Led Zeppelin.

Riff into the second half of the guitar solo to Kid Charlemagne. Never heard anyone but Larry who can do it.

yeah that is vaguely correct, Brian Did indeed write the Solo and the final guitar orchestrations, but the heavy riff as i am aware, was written by Freddie on piano.

Theres so many out there. I'd have to say for all its simplicity, Zep's Whole Lotta Love. Page moved mountains w/ that riff!
Tie Your Mother Down, Cream's Crossroads & Sunshine of Your Love are great as well.
