Funny how the the complaints about mp3's are by those unfamiliar with using a spectral analyzer.
As long as flac exists on Queenzone, mp3 should be allowed to exist as well, as both flac and mp3 are legal products.
Queenzone has always strived to avoid censorship, and there is no reason that Queenzone should jump on the censorship bandwagon.

I have done my own research, with my ears and with technology, and I have found that there is a difference between mp3 and flac, both via sound comparison and looking through a spectrum analysis. So why don't you do your fucking homework before you stick your foot in your mouth. And how would you know that I or anyone else have not done our research. And as a result of the quality control on these sites new recordings surface frequently, often a couple of times a month. In the past 3 months countless Genesis tapes have surfaced, many excellent audience tapes and/or soundboards. Now, for a band such as Queen, possibly in the top 5 as far as popularity goes, wouldn't you assume new shows would become available much more frequently than marginal (in attendance and albums sold) bands such as Genesis or Jethro Tull. Wouldn't everyone like to hear some new shows? I for one, am really pissed off about being a Queen collector and getting laughed at on those boards and by other traders. They are not laughing about Queen's music, they are laughing because of the ignorant fucks that are on this website. They laugh for legitimate reasons, Queenzone is still in the 20th century and must adapt to the times. It is a waste of the technology we have to still share music in mp3. Everyone else on this board can ignore the fucking proverbial elephant in the room and be content with their 128 kbps mp3s, or you can actually take a moment to here the difference and step outside of QZ and take a look at the prosperity in the other trading communities.

I have seen many people on Queenzone offer thanks for mp3 downloads. If you do not want mp3's, I suppose it is your right to flame and degrade those that do download mp3's.

If you know how to use a spectral analyzer, insist on dealing only with traders who vouch that their music is lossless and use spectral analyzers to verify the music is lossless, then your major problems with a polluted trading pool will vanish.
Why not ask for a sample before you trade to protect yourself from lossy trades?

There was a lot of MP3 sharing last in the last couple of weeks and everytime this discussion is coming up again. There are people in here who try to bring a little more quality standards to QZ - since a long time. (I joined QZ only last year..) They share masters or compilations - high quality releases- so there's no need to share the same shows over and over again in MP3.
Please, Moderators - at least make the "Flac concert list" a sticky thread- so everbody can see what's out there!!
