Quite agree with Bob and co, when you don't read the "teenagers" posts, there are some interesting things here on Queenzone, most of it the "share" side, it is a good community, with the usual tantrums here and there, and myabe love stories here and there, the extremes of the human feelings.
For my part, I like Penetration Guru posts and his sarcasm, Bob's technical opinions, Maruga or you sharing torrents from mediafire links and other doing the other way... Some names became synonimous to the Queenzone I like to see or read. So I think it became a community, for everyone who comes on Queenzone more than once a month.
We made do with these tantrums and good sides, and if we can continue to keep the community balance as it is AND improve it, making it evolve to adapt to the technology, the "outside world", the fans needs and everything that goes with it, then let's go !
Queenzone will never be the PERFECT place on Earth, but it could be near from perfect if we move a little, that's xhat I think and try to say (sorry but I'm not always happy with my english with it's late!).

I intend to upload the entire flac version of Chicago '82 this weekend. I will not punish those who are waiting for this concert in Flac, because of the deletion of mp3 links by a few hardline flac'ers.

As I wrote many, many times, dividing this forum into 2 forums - lossless and mp3 would solve this problem democratically and forever, people who like quality would visit the flac forum, and people who only want to "download something Queen-related" would visit the mp3 forum.

Next time someone complains about the QZ tracker, what happens then? Don't you know how easily someone's reputation and name can be destroyed on the internet? A few emails here and there ... do you really want Queen fans to act that way against each other because they disagree on the format of a shared file on a website which belongs to another fan who does allow sharing this format? I cannot believe the ingratitude of these people

You know what I mean, if I am a Flac and quality defender, I would have find this logical if you had deleted your mp3 links because you wanted to share flac files. It would have stop the mp3 (lower quality) to be shared, in charge of every queenzoner to transform the Flac files into mp3 afterwards for their own use.

CD 1 is gone from mediafire, CD 2 is still up though.
If someone is reporting these files as copirighted to the servers, please stop. it is childish amd imature behaviour, and not the best way to get your point across.
I'm all for preserving quality, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
By the way I too agree that it is reasonable to expect the original uploader to delete his own file if a superior version is to be shared.
It just makes no sense keeping the inferior version arround in that cenario.
